CEDARS Youth ServicesAlexx has previously been involved in CEDARS Shelter. She has started community youth coaching services and shown significant improvement in her mental health. Initially, she wasn't participating in any activities, but now she has joined clubs such as Dungeons and Dragons, Boys and Girls Club, Unified Bowling, and the fashion club. These experiences have helped her build friendships and increase her confidence. As a transgender youth, Alexx is working on self-acceptance and has made progress in managing emotions and setting boundaries at home.
Alexxa wants an MP3 player because music can help her deal with her feelings and promote her personal growth. Music has become a key way for her to manage anxiety and depression. With an MP3 player, she can listen to her favorite songs anywhere, which helps her calm down and stay grounded during tough times. Listening to music also distracts her when she feels overwhelmed and supports the healthy coping skills she's been developing. Alexxa also has a passion for writing rap songs, which provides her with a creative outlet to express her emotions. Overall, having this player would help her improve her emotional well-being and build her confidence, allowing her to use music as a constructive coping tool wherever she goes.
