Groceries for Chris who was recently laid off
Chris, 23 years old, OR

The Lost & Found InstituteChris had a tough childhood, bouncing around foster homes, group homes, and juvenile detention centers. With a Samoan mother and a Black father, he often felt like he didn’t quite fit in anywhere. His early life was filled with anger and frustration, but he eventually learned to embrace his cultural background through various events and practices. Now as an adult, Chris uses his experiences to advocate for change in the foster care and juvenile justice systems. He believes that having a strong understanding of one’s culture and history is essential for healing and breaking the cycle of trauma. Chris is dedicated to empowering marginalized communities and wants to ensure that future generations have the resources and opportunities they need for brighter futures.
Chris is reaching out for a little extra support during a challenging time. He was recently laid off from his job and is currently between employment opportunities. While he is actively looking for work, the sudden loss of income has made it difficult to keep up with everyday necessities. One of his biggest concerns right now is making sure he has enough groceries and household essentials. To help ease this burden, Chris is asking for a Target gift card. This would allow him to purchase food, toiletries, and other basic items he needs while he gets back on his feet. A gift card, no matter the amount, would go a long way in providing some relief and stability during this period of transition. Granting this wish would give him a little breathing room, allowing him to focus on moving forward and securing his next job. This request is split into two parts. This is wish 2 of 2.
