City Living NYDeanna is a warm-hearted new mother who is looking forward to returning to school to pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education. She had to take time away from education to attend to a family crisis and later to care for her newborn son. Now that he is old enough to go to daycare, Deanna is determined to pursue her professional goals. She loves working with kids and hopes to make an impact on the next generation of young people in her community. Deanna spends her spare time ensuring her son has a safe and happy environment to thrive in.
Deanna relies on food stamps to put food on the table for her and her son. She has been trying to find employment for months but has not had any luck. On top of this, Deanna has had to spend much of her free time caring for her terminally ill father. Due to the ongoing government shutdown, Deanna does not know how she will be able to purchase food without food stamps being distributed in November. She is requesting a grocery card so she can purchase wht she needs during this challenging time.
