Heaven is experiencing foster care for the first time along with her three sisters. By nature, she is an introvert. She constantly explores new crafts and hands-on activities, using them as a positive outlet to keep her mind engaged. Although she sometimes struggles to stay focused in school, her foster parents have found that crafting and learning new hobbies help her regulate her emotions and feel more grounded. Coming from a very artistic family, she loves that her creativity connects her to something meaningful. It allows her to feel close to her roots while discovering her own strengths.

Heaven and her sisters share a dream of one day owning a salon together. Heaven hopes to become the salon’s lash technician, and with her sister currently enrolled in a cosmetology program, she’s excited to practice on the mannequins her sister brings home. The sisters bond over doing their nails, choosing outfits, and anything they consider ‘influencer-worthy.’ For Heaven, a lash kit would be a meaningful step toward turning her dream into reality—it would allow her to build skills, practice safely at home, and feel confident as she works toward the career she imagines for herself.
