Desirae is a studious preteen. However, she is very shy and doesn't make friends easily. She lives with her aunt who is helping her to work on her social skills. She is learning to make friends.

Desirae is growing older and finds comfort in her daily journaling. She cherishes the moments she writes about and wants to record her life more effectively. This Christmas, she asked her grandmother for a laptop. With it, she hopes to not only conduct research for school projects and homework, but also to store precious family photos that include memories with her mom and sister. The laptop would be a tool for both her academic growth and preserving her family's legacy.
