City Living NYSasha is a passionate and resilient young woman who is currently working towards completing her associate degree. She plans to transfer to a bachelor's program to study economics. Growing up as a product of the foster care system, Sasha had limited means and access to higher education. However, everything changed last year when she was connected with the resources she needed to proudly return to school at the age of 26. In her rare free time, she enjoys riding her bike around the city and reflecting on the day's events in her journal.
Sasha has been struggling with an undetermined health issue for several months, which has increased her fatigue and reduced her mobility. Even getting to the bodega on the corner can be a challenge for her. Sasha has been wanting to get an electric scooter to help with short trips, but since she is currently in school, she doesn’t have time to work. She is receiving public assistance and would be very grateful to receive an electric scooter!
