Gavin is a wonderful young man. Right now, he and his sister are living with a family friend while their parents are being detained. They’ve been going through a tough time, relying on this friend who doesn’t have a lot of money. Gavin has some challenges, including a learning disability, autism, and diabetes, but he has a gentle and joyful spirit. He might be shy at first, but once you get to know him, his loving and playful side shines through. Gavin loves spending time with his family and enjoys activities like building with blocks, playing soccer, and working with magnetic toys and educational games. These things help him be creative and learn while having fun. His story is one of strength and hope.

Gavin is in desperate need of warm clothing. When he and his sister were removed from their home, they came to a family friend's house with only the pajamas they were wearing. At the moment, neither child has access to any of their belongings. Gavin has been wearing hand-me-downs, specifically a sweatsuit loaned to him from the person he’s staying with, and he could use some sweaters that fit him.
