Kyra is a caring and determined young woman. She spent most of her teenage years in foster care before being placed with her grandmother. When her grandmother’s dementia progressed, Kyra was forced to move out and spent over 3 years homeless, often couch-surfing or sleeping in her car. Kyra recently moved into an apartment and is finally able to prioritize her career, mental health and physical health.

Kyra is starting her three-month externship to become a medical assistant, which is the final step before her graduation! She is excited and wants to present herself with confidence and professionalism. While Kyra is in school, she is not currently working.
