Day is a fighter and a resilient young man who hopes to make something of himself one day. He is a survivor of domestic violence and is currently in foster care. Despite having a learning disability, he is doing everything he can to maintain his grades in school. One of the hardest challenges he has faced is the separation from his younger sister. The two of them were very close, but they had to be separated in order to find appropriate placements. Despite all the difficulties he has endured, Day strives to keep a positive attitude. He aspires to attend college and study engineering. He truly believes that, in the future, he will look back and see that everything he has gone through was necessary for him to achieve his destiny.

Day is a young man of remarkable character. Despite facing a challenging start in life, he remains resolute in his pursuit of a brighter future. One of the things he misses most is his little sister. Although they keep in touch over the phone regularly, he wishes for the chance to meet up with her and their grandmother at one of their favorite restaurants. The idea of reconnecting with his family, whom he hasn't seen in a long time, means everything to Day. It's moments like these that remind him of the love and support that fuel his determination.
