LaciRay has experienced the challenges of growing up in foster care, navigating uncertainty, change, and adversity at a young age. Now a college student, she continues to balance her education while overcoming these obstacles with strength and resilience. She has an emotional support animal, Drako, that she cares for and enjoys spending time with, and in her free time, she loves hanging out with friends and learning how to cook. LaciRay is excited to develop life skills and learn how to be independent. LaciRay would greatly benefit from having her own laptop, as she is currently relying on a device provided by her high school that will need to be returned at the end of the school year. Having a personal laptop would allow her to fully engage in her education by completing assignments on time, participating in online coursework, and accessing important school platforms without interruption. It would give her the ability to work on projects outside of school hours, study more effectively, and keep track of deadlines, grades, and communication with teachers. A personal laptop would also support her in conducting research, writing essays, and preparing presentations, all of which are essential for her success in high school. As she continues working toward graduation, having reliable and consistent access to her own device would help her stay organized, reduce stress, and build the academic skills she needs for future educational and career opportunities.
