Winther is a community leader and entrepreneur who, after experiencing foster care, now creates programs and opportunities for youth and families. As a first-generation graduate and mother, she is committed to building a better future for her community. This May, she will be vending at her first library art fair, where she will showcase her pop-up cart business featuring interactive activities for children and families. She is requesting a heat press machine with a mat, which will allow her to press custom patches and designs onto items like bibs, tote bags, and apparel in real time during the event. This tool is essential for her setup, as it will allow participants to create personalized items on-site, turning her booth into a hands-on “Patch Bar” experience. Without it, she would not be able to offer the interactive element that makes her activation unique and engaging.
