Winther is someone who has been making a real difference in the world. As someone who was once impacted by the foster care system, Winther believes in giving back and empowering foster youth to create opportunities for themselves through nonprofit and information science interests. She's incredibly passionate about Business and Entrepreneurship, and as a first-generation graduate, she's changing the trajectory of her family and upbringing of her son. Winther is all about finding joy in life, whether it's from laughing until tears, spending time with her beautiful son, paying it forward, or enjoying some delicious food! Winther is preparing for her first art fair this May, where she will launch her interactive “Patch Bar” pop-up experience. She is requesting a shirt heat press machine, which will be used to press custom patches and designs onto items such as bibs, tote bags, and apparel during the event. This machine is the core piece of equipment needed to run her activation, allowing participants to create personalized items on-site. Without a heat press, she would not be able to offer the hands-on experience that makes her pop-up unique. With it, she can safely and efficiently produce custom items in real time, creating an engaging and memorable experience for children and families.
