Lyanla has spent a significant amount of time in and out of the foster care system. Her mother has passed away, and she hasn't seen her father in a couple of years. Currently, she is living in a non-relative resource home and is doing quite well. Lyanla is receiving the mental health support she needs and has a strong support system with her resource family.

Lyanla is graduating and couldn't be more excited to begin the next chapter of her life. She is incredibly proud of her accomplishments and is especially looking forward to having her resource mother present to see her walk at graduation. To celebrate this milestone, Lyanla has a simple wish: she would love a new pair of Crocs slides! She already has a pair she adores and is eager to add another to her collection.
