Kent is a wonderful young boy who has a strong mother. She's a single parent, working hard to make a living while going to community college for the first time. His father is not in the picture, as he has a history of violence and was locked up after trying to hurt them. This has left a hole in their lives, but they are learning to cope together. Kent doesn't have any diagnosed learning disabilities, but he goes to speech therapy to help with his hearing and speaking. His mom relies on public assistance, working hard to get support for their medical care, food, and Kent’s weekly therapy appointments. Even with all these challenges, Kent is a bright, shy boy with a great curiosity about the world. He loves dinosaurs, bubbles, climbing, and the fun songs from "CoComelon." He enjoys playing in the sand at the beach and has a special love for small animals, especially little dogs.

Kent is a remarkable young man who is set to begin kindergarten this September. He has worked incredibly hard and is filled with excitement as he prepares for his graduation ceremony next month in June. Unfortunately, his guardian lacks the funds to purchase a new outfit for this special occasion, but they have spotted a lovely summer outfit that would be perfect for Kent on his big day. Fulfilling this wish would not only be a dream come true for his mom, but it would also allow her to enjoy a worry-free day as she watches her beloved son walk down the aisle.
