Kent is a wonderful young boy who has a strong mother. She's a single parent, working hard to make a living while going to community college for the first time. His father is not in the picture, as he has a history of violence and was locked up after trying to hurt them. This has left a hole in their lives, but they are learning to cope together. Kent doesn't have any diagnosed learning disabilities, but he goes to speech therapy to help with his hearing and speaking. His mom relies on public assistance, working hard to get support for their medical care, food, and Kent’s weekly therapy appointments. Even with all these challenges, Kent is a bright, shy boy with a great curiosity about the world. He loves dinosaurs, bubbles, climbing, and the fun songs from "CoComelon." He enjoys playing in the sand at the beach and has a special love for small animals, especially little dogs.

Kent has recently experienced a significant growth spurt, and his current clothes no longer fit him. With summer approaching, he needs swimming trunks for exciting water adventures and for his swim lessons this summer. Kent is thrilled about the lessons, and having new swimming trunks will not only keep him comfortable but also enhance his experience.
