Brooklyn has been with her foster family since May 2025. She came from a shelter after having been moved to seven different homes. Now at 13 years old, she has a caring personality and has always looked after her siblings during her previous circumstances. Brooklyn is dedicated to caring for everyone around her. Academically, she is an A/B student and participates in Band and Scholar Bowl. She loves all things Disney, horror, drama, makeup, and enjoys anything girly. Although she is young, Brooklyn is already planning for her future. She intends to join the drama club, Band, and Scholar Bowl next year. Brooklyn aspires to go to college to become an OB/GYN, as she looks forward to supporting expecting mothers and their newborns.

Brooklyn has had a very challenging past, including supporting her parents during their struggles with addiction, raising her younger siblings, experiencing homelessness, and carrying the burden of family secrets that led to the children being placed in care on two separate occasions. She has seven siblings, and despite her best efforts, she has struggled to maintain contact with them, not through any fault of her own. Throughout her short 13 years, Brooklyn has faced numerous challenges, yet she has overcome them all while maintaining a smile and looking out for others. To celebrate her resilience and bright spirit, her family would like to take her to a place she talks about almost daily: Disneyland. Brooklyn loves Halloween and dressing up, and she is excited to try the “scary” rides. This trip is a dream she never expected to come true, and it would allow her to recapture some of the childhood experiences she has lost. We would love to help make her dream a reality.
