Kathie entered the foster care system when she was 13 years old and spent a lot of time in group homes. She was homeless when she aged out but never gave up her dream of being independent, having a home of her own, and perhaps becoming a singer. Kathie has a lovely voice and has sung at different community events as well as volunteered at functions to give back to the community. Her dream has shifted somewhat as she now has a 3-year-old daughter and a son on the way. She just recently moved into her own apartment and is concentrating on making it a great home for the children.

Kathie is an aspiring singer and songwriter and would love a keyboard to further her craft and dreams. She spends hours writing lyrics and melodies in her small bedroom studio, often drawing inspiration from her favorite artists. With a keyboard, she hopes to explore new sounds and techniques, allowing her creativity to flourish even more. Kathie believes that having the right tools will help her express herself and connect with her audience on a deeper level.
