Selene was born prematurely at 26 weeks' gestation and experienced several medical complications at birth. When she finally came home with her foster parents, they dedicated themselves to learning the essential medical care she required. After nearly two years of nurturing and support, they were able to adopt her. Selene is now thriving despite a range of ongoing medical needs, including a feeding tube, a colostomy bag, and a diagnosis of cerebral palsy. She enjoys spending time with her adoptive parents and shares a close, loving bond with them. Selene recognizes that she is unique because of her feeding tube and is learning to embrace her individuality with the support and encouragement of her family. Her journey has been challenging, but her loving family continues to provide her with the care and support she deserves.

A climbing dome with a hammock would provide Selene with a fun and engaging way to strengthen her gross motor skills, coordination, and overall physical fitness. As a child with a feeding tube, opportunities for safe, active play can help build her confidence while encouraging age-appropriate physical activity within the recommendations of her medical team. The climbing dome would allow her to challenge herself, develop problem-solving skills, and gain a sense of accomplishment as she masters new movements. It would also provide a place for imaginative play and social interaction with siblings and peers, supporting her emotional well-being and helping her enjoy the same childhood experiences as other children her age.
