Isla has been in and out of foster care her whole life, her parents were both deported when she was a baby. She has no extended family, and now resides with a foster family who is able to allow Isla to stay with them after she turns 18 so she can finish high school next year. She is loving her new high school, and has said that this school is her best experience at school so far. Isabella is excited to turn 18 in October and is looking forward to senior activities at school such as graduation photos, cap & gown ordering, senior night, and planning for spring prom. She wants to go to college next year and would like to study psychology!

Throughout her years in foster care, Isla has always wanted a bike, but moving so much made it impossible. Since she is turning 18 soon, she will no longer have the opportunity to be adopted. However, earlier this year, she was placed back with a former foster parent, someone she knows and feels comfortable with, who has requested to have her back. This makes a bike the perfect gift for her 18th birthday. The bike will also be great for college, as it is high quality and reliable. Isla is looking forward to getting a job, and she can potentially ride her bike to and from work. Since she is turning 18 soon, she will no longer have the opportunity to be adopted.
