Foster NationMae Mae spent three years in foster care, where she was moved around frequently and separated from her siblings. Although that lifestyle often made her feel alone or want to run away from her problems, Mae Mae is proud of how self-reliant, resourceful, and independent she has become. Even more so, she is proud to be breaking generational cycles by consciously choosing a healthier path for her future. In the future, Mae Mae dreams of becoming a dance teacher and teaching little kids to express themselves in a healthy manner. Beyond dancing, Mae Mae loves crafting and researching travel destinations in her free time.
Without a car, Mae Mae has struggled to get where she needs to be on time. Because the bus system is unreliable and she often gets sharp pains in her feet after walking too long, Mae Mae is looking for a more reliable way to get around. She hopes to get an electric bike so she can get around on time and keep building her savings. Mae Mae has big goals in her life and knows they will be easier to achieve with dependable and efficient transportation.
