Via grew up in a deeply religious household, but when they found the courage to come out as queer, they were met with rejection instead of acceptance. Rather than receiving the love, understanding, and protection every child deserves, Via was kicked out of their home by their mother simply for being who they are. They entered foster care and eventually aged out of the system, having spent some of their most important years without the stability, security, and unconditional love of a family. Despite the painful experiences they have endured, Via has found joy in creativity and self-expression. They love photography and attending drag shows, where they can be surrounded by people who celebrate individuality, authenticity, and the freedom to be themselves. After spending so much of their childhood feeling unwanted for who they are, Via deserves a future filled with acceptance, happiness, belonging, and the freedom to live unapologetically as themselves.

Photography lets Via express themself, tell stories, and find beauty in the world around her. This portable photography light would help them take clearer, more beautiful photos, experiment with different lighting, and continue developing something they truly love. Because it is rechargeable and easy to carry, they could use it wherever inspiration strikes. For Via, this is more than photography equipment. It’s a chance to invest in their passion, build confidence in their abilities, and create something that reflects who they are without changing themselves for anyone.
