Silver Lining MentoringTommy is a shy boy who has spent most of his life in foster care. Due to his upbringing, he hasn't always been able to identify hobbies and interests of his own; however, with support from adults in his life, he has come to love playing Dungeons & Dragons, reading sci-fi and fantasy books, swimming, and going to thrift stores. He is currently working towards his goal of graduating high school!
Tommy has been in foster care for most of his life, and he is working hard to finish high school. Right now, he has to wait his turn on a shared computer to finish his homework, and that wait can take a long time. It limits where and when he can study, and it makes keeping up with assignments harder than it should be. A laptop of his own, in his favorite color, blue, would let him sit down and work whenever he needs to. It would give him a dependable space to read, research, type papers, and explore new interests as he figures out what he loves. Tommy would love to open it on Christmas Day and start using it right away. For a young man with big goals, a laptop of his own would make the road to graduation smoother.
