James’ mother is a former foster youth. His mother Mercedes is a college student and a participant in our Guardian Scholars Program. James also has a sister named Sarah. James loves comic book action heroes and sports. He is a very energetic kid, he enjoys going to school and helping his mom out around the house. James has an energy that lights up an entire room and he is always getting into stuff. James doesn’t know what he wants to be, but he definitely looks up to his mother and wants to follow in her footsteps and go to college. James is by far the coolest 8 year old you will meet.
