This wish has been on Kim's vision board for 3 years now. She always says, "I am one of those people that doesn't like water unless I can see what's under me." So often times, when her family is together having fun in the water, Kim sits on the beach alone. A friend of hers introduced her to the stand up paddle board a little over 3 years ago and she absolutely fell in love with it. This wish would allow her to get in the water and have that quality time with her kids that would mean so much to her.
Kim is 46 years old and lives in CO
At the age of 14, Kim went into foster care after being failed by the system over and over again. She aged out at 17 with no support system in place. After 12 years of struggling, pushing hard, and never quitting, she was the first in her family to graduate college. Kim now serves others who were in foster care, providing a community where they feel they belong and know they aren't forgotten. She has been married for 14 years, is a mother to three amazing children, and is in awe of the love she has found.
