New sneakers for Kay to help her feel good about herself

Posted Nov 20, 2021
Kay wishes for an new pair of sneakers to help her make it through the rest of the school year. These sneakers will give her a fresh clean look that she’s not ashamed of. Her current sneakers don’t look too clean and she is ashamed of them. This will give her a boost of self confidence.

Kay is 20 years old and lives in NC

Kay is an outgoing teen who came into care during COVID-19. Her world has been turned upside down and she’s trying hard to adjust. She is a hard worker, makes good grades, and loves sports. She enjoys swimming, volleyball, and track. Her favorite color is teal and she loves to draw. She just got a new kitten and it is really helping her cope. She was not allowed to have pets before coming into foster care. Her appearance is very important to her and she likes to have good hygiene. She loves helping others and interacting helps her feel like she belongs.

Jeff grants the wish for Kay! Thanks Jeff.

"Hi Kay, I hope you enjoy the new shoes. I agree it's important to have fresh kicks! My favorite athlete Michael Jordan once said, "It's not about the shoes, but its what you do in them". Anytime you feel bad, and your head may be down, just look at your shoes and remember to keep moving forward--one step at a time. "
