Surgery for Kim's beloved dog, Kona

One of these big loves of her life is her number one dog, Kona. Kim and her family instantly fell in love with her and she has been a loving, loyal, fun, and sweet friend to them ever since she became a part of their family. Now, Kim and Kona need our help. Kona tore her ACL, can't walk on her back leg, and is in danger of tearing her other ACL if she doesn't have surgery to repair the tear. Over the past six months, Kim has had multiple financial setbacks, and the surgery for Kona is just not financially possible for her right now. Kim is devastated to see her Kona in pain, unable to run, hike and play like her normal bubbly self. Kim's Big Wish is to repair Kona's leg, and give her many more years with her family. Knowing her beloved Kona is going to be good as new is all Kim needs to alleviate this major source of stress in her life.
Kim is 46 years old and lives in CO
At the age of 14, Kim went into foster care after being failed by the system over and over again. She aged out at 17 with no support system in place. After 12 years of struggling, pushing hard, and never quitting, she was the first in her family to graduate college. Kim now serves others who were in foster care, providing a community where they feel they belong and know they aren't forgotten. She has been married for 14 years, is a mother to three amazing children, and is in awe of the love she has found.
