Maddison has started her extended school year, which includes a summer school program that specifically works on her IEP goals. Maddie will be going into second grade as a non-reader. However, she is working very hard and one of her special education teachers said she could benefit from a laptop at home to utilize the districts programming for extra work and support. She needs this specific touch screen laptop because it is the same model she uses in school, and her education plan calls for consistent programs to be maintained in school and at home.
Processing is a struggle for Maddison, so the consistency of equipment will best meet her needs.
Maddison is 9 years old and lives in CO
Madison is a sweet young lady who loves the simple things in life, she loves school and her favorite subject is recess. She has had a very rough start to her young life and has lived in a homeless shelter for some time and is excited to start her new life with her sister in her long term home. She is excited for all the things that go along with a more stable life, like birthday parties, one thing she has never had before. She loves to wear big bows in her hair, the bigger the better and her favorite colors are pink and purple.
