Having grown up in foster care, Irene chose to use her experience and talents to give back to foster youth. Irene is currently advocating for bills to be passed to change the California foster system. With her advocacy, Bill AB1512 was passed which allows survivor benefits to pass to foster youth instead of being taken unethically by counties. In addition, Irene creates wellness and gratitude journals that help foster youth with their personal development. She is working on creating a digital wellness course that helps foster youth learn how to journal.

Irene recently bought a free-standing closet but unfortunately, she wasn't able to get the accompanying doors. She's been really keen on getting them as they would be such a great addition to her closet and would help her keep everything organized and tidy. It's an item that she really needs, and completing her closet would definitely give her a sense of relief and peace of mind. She would really appreciate it if someone would grant this wish for her. This wish has been split and would help provide the last 3 out of 6 doors that she needs to complete her closet.
