After tackling the challenges of school, she envisions herself dribbling and taking shots, feeling the breeze against her skin as she loses herself in the game. This simple joy will be her sanctuary—a way to unwind and recharge on those tough days.
Kim is 16 years old and lives in NC
Kim entered foster care during the holidays, feeling scared and angry. It was a challenging time for her, but she started to settle in shortly after. Starting a new school was hard and presented new challenges for her. However, she feels safe in her new environment. She also enjoys having plenty of food, watching movies, and spending time with her new dog.
