Throughout her young life, she has been in over 30 different placements. Recently, she turned 18 and was accepted into a transitional housing program, while still remaining a dependent of the court. Now that she is going to be a new mom, Amanda is determined to ensure that her baby does not experience the same difficulties she went through.
Amanda is pregnant with her first child and is looking forward to the arrival of her son in May 2025. As a young woman in the foster care system, she faces financial challenges, which make it difficult for her to prepare for the baby's arrival. One item she particularly wishes for is a BabyBjörn bouncer, as it would provide her newborn with a cozy and soothing place to relax while she takes care of other tasks. The gentle movement of the bouncer would offer a calming experience for her little one, allowing Amanda some much-needed freedom while ensuring her son is comfortable and content.
