Steven is a loving, smart little boy who has spent most of his life in foster care. He now lives with his stepmother, who is considered kin and is in the process of adopting him. She primarily speaks Spanish and loves Steven deeply. He also lives with his sister, which brings him comfort and stability. Steven has a diagnosis of autism and works very hard every day. Communication and daily routines like getting dressed, getting ready for school, or turning off the TV can be challenging for him, but with patience and support, he continues to grow. Steven loves watching TV, thrives with routine, and is incredibly sweet, gentle, and caring. He previously lived in a therapeutic foster home and is now in a safe, loving environment where he is supported and deeply cared for.

Steven wishes for a new bed frame and mattress of his own. He is a young child with a diagnosis of autism and currently shares a bed with his kinship grandmother due to limited resources. While his grandmother lovingly cares for him, having his own safe and comfortable sleeping space is essential for his growth, routine, and independence. A low-to-the-ground bed frame paired with a supportive mattress would provide Steven with a secure and predictable place to rest. Having his own bed would help improve his sleep, reduce stress, and support healthy boundaries for both Steven and his grandmother. This wish would create a sense of stability and comfort for Steven and help his kinship caregiver continue providing him with a nurturing and supportive home.
