Skyla is very shy and is learning to communicate in a world that feels different from others. She has enjoyed watching Cocomelon in sign language and loves princesses. As she is in foster care, Skyla is also adjusting to being in a placement away from her parents.

Skyla came into foster care and has been learning to communicate with those around her. Since Skyla is deaf, she has often been in environments with people who do not know sign language. However, she does know some sign language. The use of visual aids with American Sign Language (ASL) will help her communicate effectively.
