Jacob was in foster care since the age of 12. He has overcome a lot of tragedy and grief in his young life and has become a man of strong character. He has emancipated himself from foster care and is a hard-working father who has his children residing with him. He loves his two babies and cares for his family in his time away from work. He is such a hard worker that he is known by his co-workers as “Super-Jake”. He is always willing to take on challenging jobs and even returns to his former transitional housing program to offer help and mentor other transitional-aged youth. Jake is also going to college part-time online.

Jacob is settling into his new apartment and learning how to make the most of his space, especially in the kitchen. A sturdy prep and work table would give him the extra room he needs to cook, organize, and prepare meals more comfortably. This support would help him stay organized and make meal preparation easier as he adjusts to his new home. It would also allow him to enjoy cooking more while building a stable and independent life for himself and his children in their new environment.
