Knowledge spent years in foster care after being removed from her home due to family instability. During that time, she faced numerous challenges, but she also developed resilience, independence, and strong advocacy skills. Her experiences have fueled her deep commitment to building a better future for herself and her daughter. She is a part of Florida Youth Shine, a youth-run, peer-driven organization comprising current and former youth in foster care or those who have experienced homelessness. Knowledge is remarkable because she has mentored other youth and has received countless awards for her efforts. She has not allowed her past to dictate her future and plans to apply the "knowledge" (after which she is named) that she has gained to improve her life. Recently, Knowledge achieved a significant milestone by transitioning into her own apartment. This new space represents safety, stability, and a fresh start for her family.

As Knowledge transitions into her own apartment, she is working hard to create a safe and stable home. While this is an exciting new chapter, she is facing financial burdens as she covers essential move-in and living expenses. Her greatest needs right now are basic household items that will help make her new place livable and comfortable. A mattress would make a meaningful difference in helping her settle into her home and continue moving forward with stability.
