Jacob was in foster care since the age of 12. He has overcome a lot of tragedy and grief in his young life and has become a man of strong character. He has emancipated himself from foster care and is a hard-working father who has his children residing with him. He loves his two babies and cares for his family in his time away from work. He is such a hard worker that he is known by his co-workers as “Super-Jake”. He is always willing to take on challenging jobs and even returns to his former transitional housing program to offer help and mentor other transitional-aged youth. Jake is also going to college part-time online.

Jacob is a young father working hard to create a comfortable, stable home for his family in their new apartment. Right now, they don’t have proper dining chairs, making everyday moments like family meals, coloring time, and simply sitting together difficult. Receiving a set of dining chairs would help turn their apartment into a true home — a place where Jacob and his children can share meals, make memories, and enjoy quality time together. This simple gift would bring comfort, dignity, and a sense of normalcy to a family building a fresh start.
