City Living NYKyra is a caring and determined young woman. She spent most of her teenage years in foster care before being placed with her grandmother. When her grandmother’s dementia progressed, Kyra was forced to move out and spent over 3 years homeless, often couch-surfing or sleeping in her car. Kyra recently moved into an apartment and is finally able to prioritize her career, mental health and physical health.
Kyra recently graduated from her medical assistant program and has accepted a part-time job! After nine months of classes and an internship, she is excited to take this next step in her career. Kyra is also looking forward to achieving financial stability, something she has struggled with after years of being unhoused. To start her new job, she needs a pair of black scrubs. Granting this wish will help ensure Kyra can begin work on time and alleviate her current financial burden.
