City Living NYKyra is a caring and determined young woman. She spent most of her teenage years in foster care before being placed with her grandmother. When her grandmother’s dementia progressed, Kyra was forced to move out and spent over 3 years homeless, often couch-surfing or sleeping in her car. Kyra recently moved into an apartment and is finally able to prioritize her career, mental health and physical health.
Kyra recently graduated from her medical assistant program and has accepted a part-time job, marking an exciting new chapter in her career. After nine months of classes and an internship, she is proud and eager to take this next step forward. Kyra is also looking forward to building financial stability, something she has worked hard toward after experiencing years of housing insecurity. As she begins this new role, she is requesting a pair of comfortable, supportive work shoes to help her start her job feeling confident and prepared.
