Javier has shown incredible resilience in overcoming adversity since arriving in the U.S. alone. After spending time in a transitional shelter, he was finally able to reunite with his mother. Although Javier is still young, he feels compelled to mature more quickly so that he can support his mom in gratitude for everything she has done for him.

Javier deserves a comfortable bed where he can get a good night's sleep and have a space of his own. Because there is limited space in his home, his bed is more than just a place to sleep—it is where he does his homework, reads, draws, and spends much of his time. Having a bed frame of his own choosing would help him feel proud of his space and show him that his comfort and needs are important. This wish would give Javier a special place to rest, learn, and be himself.
