Tinker Crates are interactive projects that challenge kids to build and develop by following directions, setting goals and ultimately developing a product they can use. These types of projects have really caught Trent's attention. With some of the health issues and uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, Trent's mom is leaning on the safe side so Trent has been home keeping as active as possible. As he battles some of the new challenges involved with being stuck at home with little to do, this is something that Trent has expressed a great interest in. Trent is looking for opportunities to learn more in the STEM fields. This awesome Tinker Crate is a 5 day virtual camp, where Trent will build 5 different STEM projects all while doing exactly what he loves!
Trent is 16 years old and lives in NJ
Trent is a sweet young man who battles adversity in many ways in life. His father passed away when he was young and he lives at home with his Mom, older brother and younger sister. As the middle child squeezed between siblings with some higher tier needs, Trent finds himself stuck at home with little to do these days. Building is one of his favorite things - more specifically, building projects in the STEM fields. Not only does he love math and science but this passion has helped him really turn things around in the couple of years he has been matched with a Big Brother in the BBBS program. In fact, he recently got straight A's for the first time ever due to his increased focus!
