A Painting and Drawing Set for Shalonda who loves to create
Shalonda, 20 years old, NJ |

SHE Wins! Inc.Shalonda is a strong and resilient young girl. She does very well academically but she would prefer that class be held in person. Shalonda had to deal with an extremely traumatic event at the start of 2020. On Christmas morning in 2019, her nine year old brother stopped breathing. A few weeks later, he was taken off of life support and passed away when there was nothing that could be done to save him. Shalonda was very close with her brother and walked with him to school every day. She has become much more introverted since then and has found peace in creating artwork to express herself. Painting and drawing are her favorite activities. She misses going to school in person where she could use more art supplies.
The holidays are a really hard time for Shalonda. Last Christmas morning, her little brother stopped breathing and unfortunately she lost him a few weeks later. They were very close. She has struggled with her new reality and has found solace in art. She loves to draw, paint, and create. She would be so grateful for this gift which will make her Christmas morning a little more bearable. She will be able to express herself and pour her heart into her beautiful art work.

"Shalonda has had a difficult time adjusting to virtual school during this pandemic. Having lost her little brother earlier this year, art has been her great escape. We can't wait to see the expression on her face when she receives her art set. Thanks for your generosity."
