Shauneace is a third-year psychology student at California State University, Long Beach. Her decision to major in psychology stems from a deep, personal passion for understanding and supporting adolescents—especially those who, like her, have faced the hardships of growing up in underserved communities. Having entered the foster care system at the age of three, Shauneace has navigated a life marked by uncertainty, resilience, and the courage to keep moving forward. Those experiences have shaped her into someone who not only dreams of change but actively works toward it.

Shauneace always looked at photography as a work of art and even got great recognition just from taking pictures of people or landscapes on her phone. Due to her getting this type of recognition just from her phone, having a camera would be a great experience for her to start her small photography business. She has even made an Instagram for this business and knows every picture has a meaning behind it and over 1 million words. Even though her major is psychology she currently still takes photos for people as well as landscapes. She also mentions that psychology and photography have a lot in common, they mentally bring you at peace, as well as give you the hope that there is beauty within the struggles of this world. She will be so excited to receive this awesome camera that comes with a tripod, memory card, a few lenses, and a bag to carry it all! This will be such an amazing thing for her to unwrap this holiday season.
